Is ALC for me?
ALC is a small middle school for students who have struggled but who are committed to success in a dynamic new school.

What is ALC?
These are just a few things that make ALC unique:

* Outdoor and environmental education theme
* Hands-on activities at school and exciting trips to the ocean, mountains, and other places
* Small class sizes and individualized support
* Extra help in math and English
* Extended day
* Integrated counseling support services
* An alternative school for students grades 6, 7, and 8

ALC's Goal
ALC's primary goal is simple, to prepare every student for success in high school and beyond. We believe that with the student's hard work, family support, and a nurturing and rigorous school community, this goal is achievable by every ALC student.

ALC Expects
Students and parents choose ALC, and they commit to meeting our very high expectations for succcess. We expect:

* Full participation in all parts of the ALC program
* Excellent attendance
* Effort and attitude that encourages personal and academic acceleration
* Respectful and responsible behavior
* Parent/guardian support
