East Oakland School of the Arts (EOSA) is a small public high school dedicated to creating an environment that supports the academic and artistic potential of each student.
Mission
By offering its diverse 9th to 12th-graders a fully arts-integrated education, EOSA has a dual mission: to provide a comprehensive academic college preparatory program as well as pre-professional arts training. We boast a creative curriculum and a safe learning environment for our 300 students.
Join our learning community today! EOSA welcomes all arts-minded students to apply, whether they are experienced artists or just starting out. We believe that with an arts focus, student will be inspired to stay in school and graduate. You can find our application form here and our teacher recommendation form here.
Comprehensive college-preparatory classes prepare students for future success — in any field. Course offerings include all UC-eligibility (A-G) requirements as well as Advanced Placement (AP) classes in English, History, Math and Science. Every student will develop a lifelong appreciation for the value of music, art, and dance through rigorous, conservatory-style training in the visual and performing arts.
